HD DVD, the technology developed by Toshiba, had a huge victory as both Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation announced they would now release future titles exclusively in the HD DVD format. Prior to this announcement both studios had released titles in both HD DVD and rival Sony's Blu-ray formats.
