Tom Adams, president of Adams Media Research, predicts the Toshiba's HD DVD format may pull ahead of rival Sony's Blu-ray format in 2008. His reasoning is due in part to cheaper prices and recently signed distribution deals with Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks. Sony's Blu-ray team is still combating by outselling Toshiba HD DVD in terms of software in the U.S. In addition, Walt Disney Co. is saying thumbs up to use Sony's Blu-ray format through its Disney Magical Blu-Ray tour.
